The Storytelling Café serves a delicious selection of snacks, light lunches, afternoon teas, coffees and treats, home made from fresh, organic produce. The Café is licensed.
Stroll in the Literary Quarter
The Scottish Storytelling Centre is Edinburgh's literary gateway. See the Scottish Book Trust in Sandeman House, and the historic closes of the Netherbow. Go up the Mile to the Writer's Museum and the National and Central Libraries. Go down to the Scottish Poetry Library and Canongate Kirk, burial place of Adam Smith, Robert Fergusson and Burns' Clarinda.

Getting here
The Centre is situated half way along the Royal Mile, downhill from the Castle and North Bridge.The Centre is a short walk from Waverley train station and Prince’s Street, and there is a taxi rank close to the Centre on the Royal Mile. There is pay-and-display parking on Jeffrey Street and Canongate and a multi-storey car park at St John’s Hill. Visitors may drop off only on the High Street outside the Centre. |
Accessibility
The Scottish Storytelling Centre is accessible to wheelchair users, excluding the upper floors of John Knox House which can be viewed through an interactive virtual tour. Audio loops are provided in all performance areas and there is Braille signage throughout. Wheelchair users should notify the theatre box office on booking.
