Description: |
Following on from a successful run at last year’s Fringe Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Centre is hosting a series of special edition Storytelling Café evenings with a different host storyteller each night.
The Fringe Storytelling Cafés prove stories aren’t just for kids. This is serious (and often not at all serious) entertainment for grown ups, with tales, myths and fables from Scotland and across the world.
The emphasis is on live narrative; whether epic traditional myths and legends or off-the-cuff anecdotes and tall tales. The evenings are a relaxed, cabaret-style melting pot of stories and diverse ways of telling, with each night’s storyteller acting as compere as well as dazzling audiences with their own tales.
The Storytelling Café evenings are the perfect way to kick back and enjoy a relaxing, entertaining evening – ideal for Fringe-goers looking for something a little bit different. Everyone is welcome to bring a tale or song to add to the vocal mix!
