Get Involved
Whether your special interest lies in listening to stories or telling them, providing training or organising events, there are many ways to take part in the activities of the Scottish Storytelling Centre and Network
- Come along to one of the many storytelling events and workshops at the Scottish Storytelling Centre or find about events in your local area
- Book a storyteller for an event in your area
- Organise a storytelling workshop in your area for staff or community members. A wide selection of workshop topics is available.
- Join a storytelling club in your local area, or set one up!
- Come along to some of the great storytelling festivals springing up across Scotland including the annual Scottish International Storytelling Festival
- Find out more about stories and where to find them
- Improve your confidence and learn new skills by attending some of the events within our Connecting with Stories training and development programme
- Get your copy of Telling Stories, a printed resource packed with useful information, tips on storytelling, advice on sources, storytelling clubs, and much more. It contains a superb introductory selection of oral tales for telling.
- Keep up to date with what's happening across Scotland and beyond by reading Blethers, the newsletter of the Scottish Storytelling Centre and Network.
- Take part in a national celebration of storytelling by organising an event for Tell-a-Story Day
